Better Prepared for Reentry

City Fields partners with the Bradley County Justice Center, and Cleveland State Community College to provide job training to incarcerated individuals before they are released.
Equipping inmates with the tools to gain stable employment before they are released provides them with the support system and the resources to re-enter society with fewer barriers in place. It increases their chances of success on the outside, and reduces the likelihood of reincarceration.

A Range of Opportunities

So far, students inside the Bradley County Jail have graduated from Culinary Arts, MIG Welding, and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) trainings. Completion of any of the workshops or bootcamps results in a certification, and some programs include additional training in employment soft skills like resume building, interviewing and more.
For more information about these partnerships or bootcamps, contact Cleveland State Director of Workforce Development.

“We set the precedent for the state with everybody working together...Everybody is on the same page...We all want this community to get better as a whole.”
