Community Engagement

A place-based approach sets neighborhood residents and their physical surroundings at the heart of our work.

It starts with engagement

The foundation to a safe, stable and flourishing community is an engaged and hopeful group of neighbors. Community engagement is more than just shared events - it’s shared experiences. Whether we’re supporting the efforts of neighborhood associations, planning neighborhood get-togethers, or growing community gardens, we passionately believe in an empowered and engaged community.

Community associations

The Blythe Oldfield Community Association (BOCA) mission is to provide positive social, structural, and economic impact for the betterment of our community. It works closely with several community agencies and partners to collaborate and advocate for resident needs. Residents can join monthly BOCA meetings, attend events, and grow together in the community garden!

Community events

Community events build new connections and strengthen old bonds, which, in turn, create stability in our neighborhoods. Whether it’s a celebration or a community project, City Fields events are guaranteed to be a picture of flourishing within our community.

Community gardens

Community gardens not only serve as a source of healthy food for families, but also cultivate connections between neighbors and create a sense of place within the community.
